Classic Apple Crisp

Homemade apple crisp with tons of struessel topping! Just like grandma used to make it.

Ingredients
  

  • Apples enough to fill a cake pan 3/4 full
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter

Instructions
 

  • Peel and slice enough apples to fill a 9x13 inch cake pan 3/4 of the way full.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl and sprinkle it over the apples evenly.
  • Combine the flour, brown sugar, and oatmeal.
  • Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter.
  • Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Notes

You can cut the crumb mixture in half if it is too much streusel for you. We like a lot of streusel topping.
