Mom's Sugar Cookies
My all-time favorite sugar cookie recipe! These sugar cookies are soft, yet crunchy. And they have a yummy almond frosting.

- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
For the Frosting:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- food coloring
Blend 3/4 cup butter and 1 cup of sugar.
Add 1 egg, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon of almond extract and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Add 2 1/4 cup of flour.
Roll out the cookies, cut them out, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
Frost with your favorite frosting, or use my mom's recipe.
For the Frosting:
MIx 2 cups of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk.
Add in 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract and a couple of drops of food coloring of your choice.
You may need to add more powedered sugar or more milk, until the frosting is at your desired consistency.
Frost.
