Good Mommas Aren’t Born – They Are Made

Hey there momma! If you want to know why I started this blog, and how it can help you, too, then stick around! And welcome to the family!

Good mommas aren’t born that way.

They are made.

And then remade. Again and Again.

Every Day.

Over and over.

It’s our babies that made us into the moms we are today, momma.

And that is why I decided to launch this site, way back in 2015, when my twins were only one year old.

I have been told over and over again that I am a “good mom”.

“Thanks!” I say.

But if they could see me in those awful moments where I lose my cool and totally freak out, they would see that I am a woman, just like everyone else, struggling to be the best mom she can be on a daily basis. (The good part is, we get to start over every morning!)

It’s my boys who have made me the mom I am today.

Good or Bad.

Sweet or Mean.

Cool or embarrassing.

I have learned how to be the momma I am by jumping in and caring for them.

Every single day.

That is the only way to do it!

I started this blog to help all those good mommas out there learn a few tricks, that I have had to learn the hard way.

I have been a mother for 24 years now. I have six boys, ages 24, 21, 18, 10, and 8-year-old twins.

I think I can help any mom at any age or stage….unless you are the mother of a daughter! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I have no experience in raising girls!

However, I am a girl. πŸ˜‰

So I have some first-hand knowledge.

And I used to be a licensed social worker, in a past life, with experience in family services and youth counseling.

I used everything I learned on the job and in college while raising my boys.

And it worked! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

It’s fun when your boys grow up and you can see the fruit of all those years of effort.

They are amazing young men.

One is a school teacher, married, with my first grandchild (a boy, of course!)

Another is about to graduate from college and just bought into a farm.

And my 18-year-old will be graduating high school this spring.

And the last three, well, the jury is still out on them. πŸ˜†. But I am told every day how kind, sweet, and respectful they are!

And if you are ready to raise some amazing children, stick around! Surely what I’ve learned over the years will work for you too!

Welcome to the family, momma!
